This week has been a trying week. Hate and prejudice have risen to the surface. We are a society who lives in a culture of privilege and racism. We have come so far, great Creator, yet we are reminded how far we still have yet to go. In a country that claims to be the land of the free we still feel and see that not all are free. Free from judgment, Free from abuse, Free from physical violence, Free to do your Holy work. God I pray for Sandra Bland and her family. She worked to fight police brutality and worked for change calling for us all to start this work in our own home and with ourselves. Help us working God to begin or continue the work in our own hearts. Open our hearts God to be changed, to grow and to love. Projector God our country was once again shaken yesterday when four of your children were killed on a Marine base in Chattanooga. I pray for their families and fellow soldiers. Wrap your loving arms around them. Thank you Holy One for walking this world with us. Guide us, hold us and help us. In the name of the Creator, Christ and Spirit One, Amen.
