10/24/2014 0 Comments Fall 2014 Pastoral PrayerCreator of all things, we are reminded of your majestic power as we witness the changing of your leaves from green to bright yellow, red and orange. Your mystery and timing surprise us and keeps our hope alive. When we want out of our current daily grind, You see through the clutter. Open our hearts and minds so that we may see Your wondrous ways. Fill our hopes and hold them in our loving hands.
Merciful God, forgive us when we doubt and when we ask why. Often times we are rushed people who have knowingly and unknowingly done things we should not have done. Often times when things do not go our way we harshly blame ourselves or we turn and quickly to blame others. Often we question You, and ask why? Forgiving God, come in through our brokenness and questions. Forgive us we pray when we do not strive to reach Your will for us. Teach us with your truth and mercy. Help us see when we have inflected pain on one another. Guide us to learn from ours and each other's mistakes. Hold us accountable and hold us gently, when we feel as though we might break. Remind us mighty guider to lean on You when things seem too hard. Ever present God, we pray for those who love and care for us, both the ones we witness and those that go unnoticed. For individuals who need our love, those who are distance in location and distance at heart. Grant them and us, Your close relationship. For those whose families are changing, we offer our prayers of support. And for those entering new life chapters, we offer prayers for direction. We pray for the people here and across the world that live in fear of their neighbor, grant them Your peace. To those who live under a dark cloud of emotion, grant them Your shining light. For all those scared or infected by disease, we pray for health and healing. Join all Your children we pray in bringing Your will into our lives. Amen
